I could not agree more with those who find a protruding bush attractive or the aroma from unshaven pits. I only ask those who are cons umed with amounts of body hair to consider what would happen if that protuberant bush started thinning out over time and the protrusion from the bikini botton was not as pronounced as before. Its been a year and two months since i finally stopped shaving my legs. I shave my pits, but only for comfort value. Growing up, i've hated shaving my legs. I always nicked myself and bled horribly. Congratulations on your interesting sites. Since finding HTS a couple of weeks ago I have been fascinated and drawn back to my computer constantly to visit them. The first time I saw Hair to Stay I didn't look very closely and assumed it was something "I had seen before," but eventually I looked again and realized that it's about appreciating the natural appeal of women with hair. Well I really don't know why I like hairy women, I just do and the more hair the better. I'm always looking to meet women who are open about their hair covered bodies. I guess that my first experience with a hairy girl was a girl I knew when I was abou t sixteen. She was a tall raven haired beauty in my school who was in a class with me. She always wore jeans and sweatshirts and I got curious why she never wore shorts or t-shirts. One night I met up with her down at the river where she was sunbathing. T he first thing I noticed was her legs were covered in thick curly hair from her ankles to her waist. I was born in Germany, but moved here when I was 5. My mother never shaved, but when my sisters got old enough, they both chose the "American" way. I always have loved hairy women. It must have to do with entering puberty while attending a summer camp that was mostly attended by upper middle glass jewish people. Many of the girls had not yet begun shaving yet, and this was also the 1970s, when the all natural look of the 60s had yet to die out. My brother and I play a game during the warm months: pit-fur counting. We stroll about the streets of New York counting the unshaved pits that we see. A slight stubble does not count, the woman must be fully unshaven, not just lazy. My p ersonal count for one day is sixteen, but my brother once saw more than twenty. Street fairs are the best was to find fur-goddesses. Parks are also good. Of course, the hot months are the best. Ultimately, I think it's because a woman with unshaved pits is not into the skin deep aspects of being a woman. The unshaved woman understands that femininity is not compromised by surface appearance, it's how you feel about yourself on the inside. to go unshaven is to say to the world: "I am beautiful. I love hairy women and always have. I remember my Dad had nudist colony mags in the 60s and the sight of pubic hair on a woman gave me the boner everytime. Scott, the Oregon Country Fair sounds like a hirsute lovers' paradise. Another "mecca" is the Renaissance Festival/Faire, held in many parts of the US. In the Kansas City area, the RenFest goes for 6 weeks at the Ag Hall of Fame grounds in Bonner Spr ings, KS. Wyandotte County may not have the topless ordinance Scott referred to, but there are plenty of natural ladies about, dressed in thin Renaissance linen...when the hot circular winds of the prairie summer swirl, the aromas are unmistakable. And to refute those who disbelieve how long a woman's forearm hair can be: I have a very close friend who has been running a craftbooth at the KC RenFest for several years. She is 49, tiny, blonde, with 3" long, amazingly soft hair on her upper forearm. S he doesn't shave anywhere...but most importantly: she is an incredibly intelligent, spiritual and compassionate woman and I'm lucky we're such good friends.

Hey all you hairy women lovers out there. I have got to tell you about the mecca of hirsute and natural hairy women in the pacific northwest. Every year in a small town called Veneta {about 15 miles west of Eugene, OR } they have a 3 day event called t he Oregon Country Fair, it is always held the weekend after the 4th of July. Never in your wildest dreams will you see so many hairy and totally unshaven women in one place at one time in the USA. I would say at least 50% of the women there are totally un shaven, pits , legs, everything and not afraid or ashamed to let it all be seen. Plus in Lane County where the event is held it is legal for women to go topless, this truly is heaven on earth for me. The country fair is an arts and crafts exposition set i n wooded area and has to be seen to be believed. So all you hirsute lovers, I will see you at the 1998 Oregon Country Fair.

I have been looking for sites of hariy women on the net, and stumbled on this one. i read the weird emails you get, and was shocked! It is unbelievable what a bunch of morons there are in this world. I have never understood why women are expected to sh ave their bodies, when I shave my face, (which isn't that often), I think about what a pain in the butt it would be to have to shave underarms and all of your legs. My first love was quite hairy, not much on her legs, which she did shave anyway, but her u nderarms were quite thickly furry, and her bush was an absolute mass of thick, long dark hair. She did shave her underarms, but only on a monthly basis, I tried to talk her into not shaving them but she was pretty reluctant, but her only occasional shavin g of them, left her underarms furry enough. She was an odd combination of hairless and hairy, her arms were smooth, but oh, boy, that bush was such a turn on. Her long thick pubic tresses stuck out both the sides and top of any panties she wore. Anyway, i salute you and any other hairy, natural women of the world. There are those of us who appreciate the way a woman was made naturally.

Just a note to arm hair admirers. Research into hair correlates suggests that eyebrow hair density and abundance is predictive of similiar pubic hair qualities while other body hair charateristics are not. However, this is not to suggest that arm-harin ess is not a turn-on!

Since everyone has been commenting on hairy arms, I have a story for all those who love hairy women.....A few years ago I was working in a retail store in a mall and i was hanging some belts up and I got a glance of this hair arm as I was looking up to hang another belt, I said no way this couldn't have been a females arm, so I decided to keep going with my work...well a few minutes later I went approach these two women asking if they needed help, and she turned around and I just about fainted....I cou ldn't believe what my eyes had laid eyes on. The hairiest arms I'd ever seen, these were manly hairy arms, thick and dark brown. She had thick, full eyebrows as well and you could tell she either waxed or shaved her upper lip. She was very pretty, hair o r no hair and what a great personality. We talked awhile and exchanged numbers, for the next two years we became friends, but that as far as it went. I never really talked to her about her hairiness, but I think she was self-concious because I began notic ing she wore more long sleeve shirts. Then tragedy hit, I hadn't seen Katie for a while and the next thing I found out she was dating someone, not only did she find someone she no long had her massive hair arms and she plucked her eyebrows. And then talk about pouring salt in an open wound, I was reading one of our local papers and just so happen to be seeing what was going on and there was a picture of Katie....in a bridal dress! Yep, she got married, it was an announcement of her wedding. I still haven 't seen or talk to Katie, I guess things have a funny way of working out. To this day I still haven't seen a woman with arms as hairy as Katies, I mean hers were beautiful. Though I have seen only two other women in my life time that were equally as hairy as Katies, that was about 7 & 8 years ago.

I was talking to a rather close female friend of mine at a Penn State basketball game, and we were admiring the cheerleaders... our guy friend made some crass remark about the fact that guys become cheeleaders so they can look up the skirts of the girl s they're holding up (ha ha). Idiot. But somehow or other, the subject of pubic hair poking through the bloomers ("ew, it would be nasty if I was holding some girl up and she was all hairy up in there..." he said). Anne said, "that's how you guys like it, right? all smooth and everything?" I said, which really took the piss out of my guy friend, "yeah, we want our bitches to look just like prepubescent girls. No way should they look like adults, what a turn off! Make sure there's no hair on the bod y at all." Anne turned to glare at me, then she realized I was being 100% facetious (though Jeremy was nodding in agreement. Idiot). Jeremy, perhaps out of embarrassment, got up to go to the bathroom or something, and Anne inquired further. I said, to her astonishment, that I didn't think women should shave at all, unless they wanted to, and that I would feel so lame if ever a girlfriend of mine felt she had to shave to turn me on. She said, "hold on... are you telling me that you actually LIKE it wh en girls don't shave?" Whoa. Was I ready to tell her my unusual but intense fetish? "Well," I said, "I actually do think it's quite sexy... exotic... you know, unusual." Anne and I are both single, and since then, we have gotten to be closer friends. I often wonder if she's hairy, of course, as I do with most women, but I am getting the feeling that our little chat about women and hair may have been the start of more intamacy. My sister Ellen told me about this site (Ellen R. who made the recent comments about me and our other sister Martha). I am not online, so I never see this kind of thing. Anyway, I am amazed. Ellen is correct, Martha is self conscious about the hair on her forearms and has always tried to smooth it down all the time. I don't think she even thinks about it anymore, it is just a subconscious act. Martha and Ellen both have about the same amount of hair on their arms, but Ellen isn't bothered by it. I have lighter hair on my arms than they do, but it is probably a little thicker. I noticed it was all sticking straight out this morning after I got out of bed, and I thought about what Ellen told me. Anyway, I stuck a ruler down by the hairs and they are about 1-1/4" on my upper forearm. I have no idea how that compares to others, and I don't really care. Sometimes I have noticed it still on end at work, but doesn't everybody have that problem occasionally? I never would have thought there was this much interest in something that seems so ordinary.

A friend of mine called me about the comments on female arm hair here and got me connected with this site. I'm glad to hear the comments from Cheri and Ellen about theirs. I am a 32 y/o redhead and also have relatively long arm hair (but not quite as long as Cheri's). The longest hairs measure about 4 inches. I used to be a bit self conscious about it early in high school, but rarely ever got negative comments about it. It does tend to flutter off my arms in the slightest breeze and attracts the attention of the guys from time to time. I don't mind having a guy I'm dating touch/play with it, and I too prefer that it not be a primary focus of attention, but I do appreciate that my long arm hair it is a rarely-found attribute. I've grown rather a ttached to mine (excuse the pun) and even catch myself playing with it sometimes while watching TV, etc. I'll be watching for more comments from other women with hairy arms like Cheri, Ellen, and me, now that I know where this site is.

I never thought I would do anything like this but I feel like I need to respond. I am a professional woman (controller for a national professional organization), and am "thirty-something". I have fairly thick light brown hair on my arms, and I have n o idea how long it is but maybe an inch. My sister Martha is 3 years older than I am, and she has about the same as I do, and so does our little sister Missie who is in her 20's. We are all from Mississippi, and contrary to one of the messages I read I don't think where you live has anything to do with how much body hair you have. My sister Martha is kind of self conscious about hers, but I really don't pay much attention to mine even though I do notice it sticking straight out fairly often (usually in the morning when I first get up). My brother use to tease Martha and me when we were younger by trying to put knots in our arm hair rubbing the palm of his hands over our arms. He always got into trouble for that with our mom, but that was a long, long , time ago and it doesn't matter anymore. I think my husband might have mentioned mine a few times, but that is all. It really is no big deal--everyone has it.

This whole fascination with ladies' forearm hair is interesting, but not necessarily to me because I have grown up with mine. I read the two recent accounts, one from the lady who has 1-1/2" arm hair, and the other one who saw a lady with 2 or 3 inch arm hair. I always knew mine own were very long, but it didn't matter much to me except when boys (now men) found it attractive and wanted to play with it. Anyway, my own forearm hair is between 4 and 5 inches long on my upper forearms, but I don't have that much on my lower forearms at all. I measured the longest ones right at 5 inches just for this response. It is blonde and fine, and really not all that thick. My boyfriend likes it, but I don't care that much for him putting so much emphasis on my arm hair because I have other qualities. For instance, I am attractive, was a cheerleader in high school and weigh about the same as I did then (I am in my mid 30's now). I am not trying to get into any kind of contest for arm hair, but let me just say I saw a Middle Eastern woman last summer here in Seattle who has me beat, easily. I think hers was at least 6 inches and very fine, so fine that it was fluttering off her arms. It looked strange, but quite feminine because it wasn't coarse or all that thick. So, guys, there are a lot more out there than you think, and 1.5" is NOT long!

After seeing the recent arm hair entries I just had to report my most recent sighting at an indoor/outdoor flea market this weekend. I've never seen a woman with arm hair this long! She was a brunette, late 30s, and petite--very pretty. I could see the fluffy curls of long arm hair she had a mile away. The hair was dark, not especially thick, but was EXTREMELY LONG--I'd say 2 1/2 to nearly 3 inches at the longest part (a few hairs would stick straight out and were incredibly long). Half of her out er forearms were covered with wispy long curls of soft downy hair. It was breezy outside and her magificent arm hair mounds around danced around wildly. The hair decreased markedly in length just above her wrists and her upper arms had very little hair a nd I did notice that her legs were shaved. I got a chance to see her again later indoors and her forearm hair was still fluffed into prominently long curly mounds. I only wish I could have gotten pictures to post--it was absolutely amazing! Are their any women out there with arm hair anything remotely resembling this? I'm sure we'd all love to hear about it, or better yet, see some photos in the new female forearm-hair newsgroup.

Just to notify fellow hair worshipers, the latest (May 1998) issue of Penthouse magazine has a covergirl from the Czeck Republic who doesn't shave her legs (on the cover). Unfortunately, she extensively shaves her pubic area and her underarms. However, I think we all should make a BIG DEAL of this with Penthouse to make them realize there are many of us that appreciate natural beauty (there are many women who write to, and read Penthouse). I would suggest writing Penthouse a nd suggesting that they would increase their subscriptions if they offered material unlike their competitors. Currently, for example, they are having a contest for women to submit pictures of them peeing (in the sense that women are just as able as men t o stand and pee in a liberated fashion). I realize that many of us consider Penthouse and similar publications to be our "enemies," but like the Trojan Horse, if we can infiltrate the "mainstream" of what is regarded as sexually attractive, we ha ve a much better chance of promoting naturalness as attractive. I would like to hear opinions from women on this. Do you think our advocating for unshaven women in Penthouse is a "sell-out?"

It's kinda neat to hear all the interesting comments on hairy female arms. My arms are very hairy and I get some interesting looks and a few comments. I am a blonde, and the hair on my arms is light blonde. It is about a half inch long at my wrists and about 1 1/2 inches long near my elbow and is very thick. Several guys over the years have asked to touch it, and I almost always let them. My current boyfriend loves it and enjoys running his fingers through my arm hair often. He especially likes to play with the longest hairs near my elbows, and will gently run his fingers across them, making them stand up. I think it looks kinda neat, especially in the sun on a summer day.

Three cheers for Paula Cole and the women of the world who don't shave. She is a great talent to be nominated for, and successful at, the Grammys Awards and a great role model for other young women. Like many of the contributors and readers of this gue stbook, I love her pits too. Let's hope she can maintain her pride, courage and hair for a long, long time. I have always loved the sight of a tanned blonde in a bikini, because you can see all of the hair on her body. I really love to see a teenager strutting around, thinking every one is eyeing her boos, when a good number of men are loving her hairy forea rms and thighs. I have met dozens of women who said they had no idea that hair could turn a guy on! Many are embarrassed, but quite a few are willing to let me touch the hair on their arms. I think that blonde hair on a girls' upper arm and triceps is the ultimate. One lady I met was both very hairy, and quite muscular. She said she had been a swimmer in school, and all the sun exposure had turned her arm hair to a very light blonde. She acknowledged that many men over the year had complimented her beauti ful arms, meaning both the muscle and the half inch long hair on her upper arms. We even arm wrestled on the hood of a car in the parking lot where I met her. She beat me easily as I was so distacted by the veins on her arms and the shiny golden hair up a nd down her arms. I was told by her that she wins many more times than she loses at arm wrestling. When I complimented her on the hair she said "thanks, I like it too..". To this day i always keep an eye out for blondes, just so I can check out their arms to look for more than average hair. Keep up the good work Pam! Luv ya!!!!
