- Hair to Stay - World's ONLY Magazine for Lovers of Natural, Hairy Women
What *Sports Illustrated* is to sports, *Hair to Stay* is to body hair. The zine is the focal point for a whole community of lovers of the hirsute, be they naturally hairy or just unshaved. Editor Pam Winter offers a forum for those women she feels are misunderstood and often spurned by society, and the men who admire them. This concern stems from her medical condition, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which makes Pam a perfect spokesperson for this community. Indeed, pam contributes an article this issue, "The Pain of Growing Up Hirsute," which chronicles the humiliation she faced growing up and hiding her condition from others. Over the years, however, Pam has turned a perceived liability into an asset. Suffering from poor photo reproduction quality in the past, the zine has finally laid it's problems to rest, and this issue is a major step forward in revealing the models in all their glory. The writing continues to be both hot and informative, with reader narratives that burn with stories of lust and painful recollections. One reader contributes a history of body hair magazines, including *Body Hair*, *Hair to Spare*, *Hairy Honeys* and *Hairy Asses*. Pam is now the heir to these past publishing ventures, pushing the envelope by not only playing up the sexcual appeal of hirsutism, but showing naturally hairy women that it is ok to come out of the closet, much as the gay community encourages other gays decades ago. Pam also distributes videos on the subject, practically the only source for these hard to find materials. You go girl!
